Create Code 39 Barcode
Code 3 of 9 (also referred to as Code 39) is a very common bar code language which can represent alphanumeric characters of varying length.
Characters encoded must be upper case (ABCDE…) or numeric (1234…). The following symbols can also be encoded: - (dash), $ (dollar), % (percent), . (period), / (forward slash), + (plus), and ˽ (space).
What characters can Code 39 encode?
Code 39 encodes the 26 uppercase letters, the digits 0-9, and the symbols dash, dollar, percent, period, forward slash, plus, and space. It does not support lowercase letters; if you need the full character set, use Code 128 instead.
Where is Code 39 commonly used?
Because it is simple and self-checking, Code 39 is popular for asset tags, ID badges, inventory labels, and government and automotive applications where a modest amount of data is enough.
JPG or EPS for a Code 39 barcode?
Use the free JPG only for on-screen mockups. For labels that must scan reliably, download the vector EPS, which scales without distortion and carries the correct bar width reduction for printing.
